| Ferguson Happy With Title Alone |
 Sir Alex Ferguson insists that if Manchester United only won the EPL this season he would be happy. United can get not only the EPL throphy,but FA Cup and UEFA Champions League also. "With an immense amount of luck we could still win all three but if we go on to win the league I would be quite happy at that."he said. Ferguson insisted that he and team were not under real pressure, indeed they were thoroughly enjoying the run-in to the season. "You have always got to enjoy this part of the game,"With 81 points already on the board, the Red Devils have already exceeded their tally from previous championship-winning campaigns.
"The simple fact is that Chelsea set the benchmark quite clearly for us," said Ferguson.
"They have won the last two titles with over 90 points, which is a terrific total.
"That is the marking card now. That is the total you have to reach in order to realistically feel you can win the league."
He is hoping his squad will avoid injury problems."If we keep this group fit again, then we have a real big chance - I know Jose [Mourinho] was praying for us to get injuries, so we have done them some favours in that way but hopefully there won't be anymore." |
