| Ryan Giggs Has Set a Glorious End To His Career |
The 33-year-old has had an incredible career at Manchester United, becoming the most decorated player in The Red Devils' history as the club dominated the domestic game.Giggs will be one of the most experienced members of the United team as the Reds take on AS Roma at the Stadio Olimpico tonight in the Champions league quarter final first leg. And the Welsh winger hopes to earn a positive result to keep alive his dream of repeating the 1999 European success."I keep saying the potential and ability are there but, so far, the team have overcome every challenge that has been put in front of them this season," he said."I do want to win another European medal. If I retired with just one Champions League win, it would be a letdown, but you only fulfil potential by winning trophies. “Having a year or two left is also motivation. You can see the finish line so you try to get the most out of your career. At 19 or 20, you can’t see your career ever ending. But when you’re in your thirties you know you’ll be finishing soon, maybe around 35 or 36. "You want to enjoy these days, because I realise in a few years' time I won't be doing it anymore, but the only way you can enjoy it is by winning trophies." |
