| Sir Alex Ferguson is confident United will not suffer when the Reds take on AS Roma at Old Trafford today, he confident United will create chances.Last week's quarter final first leg tie in Rome,united losed againts the Italians, but United still strong position to turn that around. "We do recover from defeats and usually we recover well. Our attacking impetus will be much stronger than it was in Rome," Sir Alex told the club's website. "We will make opportunities, and if we take them we have a great chance." United face a difficult test in the form of a Luciano Spalletti team that combines defensive stubbornness with counter-attacking flair, but Rooney's goal make some hope for team to return the leg. Captain Gary Neville and central defender Nemanja Vidic will once again be missing against Roma on Tuesday. However, Ferguson remains confident that United can come through - especially with the backing of the Old Trafford crowd. Old Trafford is not an easy place for other team to come to. United striker Wayne Rooney is backing team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo to star today. "At the minute, Cristiano is by far the best player in the world," said Rooney. "Hopefully he can work some of his magic today and get us into the semi-finals." |
